BC Frog Watch

Attention Reptile Enthusiasts!!!

BC Frogwatch, and BC Turtlewatch are looking for observations of:

Western toad breeding sites (locations, dates of observed breeding or emergence). Western Toads are listed as Special Concern by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC).

Western painted turtles and red-eared sliders (locations, dates and activity, either nesting or just basking or swimming). Western Painted Toads are listed by COSEWIC as Special Concern in the BC interior, an as Endangered on the coast.

Compiling these records is the first step to establishing long-term monitoring sites in BC, and helping to protect these species.
